The former footballer and coach Javier Sanguinetti has been announced as the new technical director of Sarmiento de Junín. Sanguinetti, 46 years old, has extensive experience both as a player in various clubs and in his coaching career.

Sanguinetti began his coaching career at Sol de América in Paraguay in 2016, where he managed 21 matches. After his stint at Huachipato in Chile, he has agreed to join Sarmiento de Junín to take over the position left by Israel Damonte.

After a brief period with Martín Funes as interim coach, the club's management reached an agreement with Sanguinetti. The native of Lomas de Zamora comes from managing Huachipato and will replace Damonte, who left his position after the draw against Gimnasia de La Plata.

During his time in Argentine football, Sanguinetti started as an assistant coach to Julio César Falcioni at Banfield, where he won the 2009 Apertura Tournament title. His career also includes stints at clubs such as Boca Juniors, All Boys, Quilmes, and Universidad Católica de Chile.
